Welcome to Knoemi. These terms govern your use of our platform. By creating an account, you agree to these terms and become part of a community building collective career intelligence.

1. Service Description

Knoemi is an AI-powered career intelligence platform that:

• Extracts and structures your career experiences from resumes and manual input
• Matches you to relevant job opportunities based on skills and evidence
• Generates evidence-backed, tailored resumes for specific roles
• Provides career insights and skill recommendations

Our AI analyzes your data to deliver these services. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content should be reviewed before use in job applications.

2. Contributing to Community Insights

By using Knoemi, you contribute to making the platform smarter for everyone. Here's how it works:

The Value Exchange: Your interactions (which jobs you engage with, what skills you develop, how you describe achievements) create anonymized patterns that improve matching accuracy and platform intelligence. Think of it like Waze for careers—everyone's aggregated, anonymous data makes the recommendations better for all.

• What's anonymized and used: Skill combinations, evidence types, job matching success patterns, feature usage patterns
• What stays private to you: Your name, email, complete resume content, specific job applications
• PII Protection: All personally identifiable information is removed before any data contributes to community insights (see our Privacy Policy)

Feedback Loop: When you interact with the platform—rating job matches, saving positions, updating skills—you're training the system to get better at understanding career trajectories. This benefits you immediately (better matches) and benefits the community long-term (smarter algorithms).

If you prefer not to participate in community insights, contact support@knoemi.work to opt out (some platform features may be limited).

3. Your Content & Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you upload: resumes, work experience descriptions, skills, projects, achievements, and any other career information.

By uploading content, you grant Knoemi a limited license to:

• Process and analyze it to provide services to you
• Use anonymized, de-identified patterns to improve the platform
• Store and back up your data for service delivery and recovery

This license ends when you delete your account, except for anonymized data that can no longer be linked back to you (which continues to contribute to community insights).

4. AI-Generated Content & Accuracy

Knoemi uses advanced AI to extract, structure, and generate career content. Important disclaimers:

• Review Everything: You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all AI-generated content before using it in job applications or professional contexts
• Not Perfect: AI can make mistakes, misinterpret context, or hallucinate details
• Your Responsibility: Any content you submit to employers is ultimately your representation, not ours
• No Guarantees: We don't guarantee job placement, interview success, or specific career outcomes

5. Subscription Plans & Billing

Knoemi offers multiple subscription tiers:

Billing Terms:

• Pro subscriptions are billed weekly ($4.99/week), monthly ($12.99/month), or annually ($99.99/year) in advance
• Payment processed via Stripe (we never see your full card number)
• Auto-renewal unless you cancel before next billing cycle
• Cancellation takes effect at end of current billing period (no partial refunds mid-cycle)
• 14-day money-back guarantee on first Pro subscription purchase
• Price changes announced 30 days in advance for existing subscribers

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use Knoemi to:

• Fabricate credentials: Don't create fake work experience, education, or achievements
• Misrepresent qualifications: AI should enhance truth, not manufacture it
• Violate others' rights: Don't upload content you don't have rights to use
• Spam or abuse: No automated scraping, excessive API calls, or platform manipulation
• Reverse engineer: Don't attempt to extract our algorithms or models
• Resell services: Don't offer Knoemi features as your own service
• Violate laws: Comply with all applicable employment, privacy, and data protection laws

Enforcement: Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund. We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations.

7. User Rights & Responsibilities

Your Rights:

• Access, export, and delete your data anytime
• Cancel subscription without penalty (no refunds for partial months)
• Receive transparent communication about platform changes
• Contact support for questions or issues

Your Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate, truthful career information
• Keep account credentials secure (you're responsible for account activity)
• Review AI-generated content before professional use
• Respect the platform's acceptable use policies
• Notify us of security vulnerabilities or bugs

8. Data Usage & Training

As detailed in our Privacy Policy, here's how your data contributes to platform improvement:

• Skill Models: Anonymized skill combinations train better extraction algorithms
• Evidence Ranking: De-identified achievement patterns improve resume generation
• Matching Accuracy: Aggregate job interaction data refines recommendation engine
• Platform UX: Usage patterns guide feature development priorities

All training uses PII-removed, aggregated data. Individual users are never identifiable in these processes.

9. Service Availability & Support

We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service:

• Scheduled maintenance announced 48 hours in advance when possible
• Emergency maintenance may occur without notice
• No SLA for Free tier; Pro tier gets priority restoration

Support Response Times:

• Free tier: 72 hours (business days)
• Pro tier: 24 hours (business days)

10. Intellectual Property

Knoemi Platform: All platform code, algorithms, designs, and branding are owned by Knoemi and protected by copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.

Your Content: You retain ownership (see Section 3).

Generated Content: AI-generated resumes and insights created FOR you are yours to use. However, the underlying models and generation techniques remain our property.

11. Disclaimers & Limitations

Knoemi is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.

We disclaim all warranties including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content
• Job placement, interview success, or career advancement outcomes
• Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knoemi's liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim (for paid subscribers) or $100 (for free users). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Knoemi harmless from claims arising from:

• Your use of the platform
• Content you submit (especially if fraudulent or rights-violating)
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

13. Termination

You can terminate: Delete your account anytime from Settings. Your subscription remains active until end of billing period.

We can terminate: For violations of these terms, with or without notice. Paid subscriptions terminated for cause receive no refunds.

Effect of Termination: Your personal data is deleted per our Privacy Policy. Anonymized contributions to community insights may persist (as they can no longer be linked to you).

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be:

• Announced via email at least 30 days before effective date
• Posted on this page with updated "Last updated" date
• Require your acceptance if they materially reduce your rights

Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution: Contact us first at support@knoemi.work to resolve disputes informally.

Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration (not courts), except you may use small claims court if eligible.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of class actions or consolidated proceedings.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

17. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement: These terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Knoemi
• Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect
• No Waiver: Our failure to enforce a right doesn't waive that right
• Assignment: You can't transfer these terms; we can assign them to successors or acquirers
